Marco Farinella graduated with honours in law from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. His dissertation titled “Pleural mesothelioma and the chain of causation: the recent case law of the 4th criminal division” was supervised by prof. Giovanni Canzio.
He has been working with the firm since 2019. That very same year he also became a member of the Milan Bar Association.
From 2016 to 2020, Marco Farinella was a lecturer at the School of Law, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, under the guidance of prof. Giovanni Canzio. In this capacity, Marco Farinella gave tutorials in addition to assisting students with their dissertation work.
Marco Farinella has successfully completed his training period allowing him to take the competitive exam to become a judiciary at the Court of Appeal in Milan.
Mr. Farinella was a regular contributor to the journal Rivista Italiana di Medicina Legale e del Diritto in campo sanitaria. He currently contributes to the Indice Penale journal.
In the 2020/2021 academic year Marco Farinella took part in the postgraduate course in “Cybercrime and digital forensics” run by the University of Milan.
In recent years Marco Farinella has dealt with environmental law – both in and out of court – with a particular focus on the problems relating to renewable energy sources, as well as culpable offences in the field of safety at work, medical liability and crimes against public administration. Similarly, he has been involved extensively in IT and sports law.
Marco Farinella is a regular speaker at Punto di diritto penale dell’economia dell’economia (Reporting on criminal law and economics), a fortnightly webinar organized by Partner 24 Ore, a network sponsored by Sole24ore, partner of Baccaredda Boy Law Firm.
Additionally, Mr. Farinella has attended a healthcare management postgraduate programme to deepen and broaden his skills in the field of medical liability and healthcare structures.
He is a member of a number of supervisory boards.
Marco Farinella has been a member of the IBA’s Business Crime Committee since November 2023.
