Marco Farinella, Attorney-at-law

Marco Farinella graduated with honours in Law, specializing in legal practice, from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. His dissertation, titled “Pleural Mesothelioma and Causation: The Recent Jurisprudence of the 4th Criminal Division”, was supervised by Prof. Giovanni Canzio.

He has been with Baccaredda Boy Law Firm since 2019, the year he was admitted to the Milan Bar Association.

From 2016 to 2020, he served as a teaching fellow at the School of Law of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, under the guidance of Prof. Giovanni Canzio. In this role, he taught practical courses and assisted students with their dissertations.

He successfully completed the training required to sit the competitive exam for entry into the judiciary at the Court of Appeal in Milan.

He is a regular contributor to the journal Rivista Italiana di Medicina Legale e del Diritto in Campo Sanitario and also contributes to L’Indice Penale. In the 2020/2021 academic year, he completed the postgraduate course “Cybercrime and Digital Forensics” offered by the University of Milan.

In recent years, he has worked in environmental law—both in and out of court—with a particular focus on renewable energy issues, as well as offences arising from workplace negligence, medical liability, and crimes against the public administration. He has also been extensively involved in IT and sports law.

He completed an advanced program in Healthcare Management to enhance his expertise in medical and institutional liability. He serves on several supervisory boards. Since November 2023, he has served on the Business Crime Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). He is also a member of the Environmental Commission of the Milan Bar Association and completed the “Course in Sports Law” offered by the same association.
